Take Control of
Backing Up Your Mac
The data on every Mac should be backed up to protect it against theft, software bugs, human error, and other problems. But there are lots of ways to back up data—some much better than others. Is Time Machine really enough? What about bootable duplicates, online backup services, and third-party backup tools? And how exactly would you go about restoring data if disaster struck?
In this presentation, Joe Kissell explores the range of options available and helps you find a strategy that balances data safety, ease of use, and cost.
Most Suffolk Mac User Group meetings take place on Zoom - delivering regular content direct to members’ Macs, iMacs, iPads and iPhones and in person. On occasion, we meet face to face. Good to see each other!
Come and join us - membership is just £10 a year. Just hit the 'Contact Us' tab and drop us a line! Or... if you like what we do and have a kind heart, you can make a donation to help us keep going .... Find out more ....
Suffolk Mac User Group welcomes all Mac users. Experienced members are on-hand daily to assist with Mac-related issues. Our friendly meetings and classes are held throughout the year; and our busy, 'members-only' message board is always open.
For 16+ years we have been helping our members (who range from the very geekiest to the very .... not!) learn how to get the best out of their Macs. Occasionally, we run special classes that range from OSX for Beginners to Swift Programming, offering first-class guidance from professionals.
We would be happy to welcome you to Suffolk Mac User Group and show you, first-hand, the benefits of joining this vibrant community.
