New venue for 2017:
Museum Street Methodist Church, Ipswich
It would be sensible to imagine that the Museum Street Methodist Church is in Museum Street, and it is, at least if you want to attend a service. The meeting room is reached from the rear of the Church, so don’t use your sat nav or you’ll end up in the wrong place!

Entry is from Black Horse Lane, just a few yards from the New Wolsey Theatre. From the town end of Civic Drive, drive past the Wolsey on your left, straight over the roundabout that follows, and take the next left in to Elm Street. Black Horse Lane is the next on the left, and the Church is the building immediately after the Black Horse Pub on the right as you enter the lane.

Parking is much easier than the St Nicholas Centre! There is on-street parking in Black Horse Lane, and a number of pay-and-display car parks off Elm Street (only £1) and Black Horse Lane (£2).

There is limited parking in the Church grounds. PLEASE do not use it. The building to the left of the entrance is privately owned and parking is forbidden (This area is monitored and you will be told to leave). Access for our speakers, people carrying equipment and your refreshments must be given priority in the remaining few spaces.

The meeting room is on the first floor - Just go through the main door, take a sharp left and up the stairs. The room is much smaller than the St Nicholas Centre space, with a much lower ceiling and great acoustics, which is good news for members who have struggled in the past with the echoing sound in the St Nicholas Centre.

As the space isn’t available any earlier, future meetings will begin at 7.30pm and, just like the St Nicholas Centre, we must vacate the premises by 10.00pm.

We hope you enjoy it. We hope members who have abandoned meetings may return, now that the two main issues - parking and sound clarity - have both been effectively removed. And there’s a lovely pub next door if you fancy a drink after a meeting :)
s Centre staff and visiting speakers only. Thank you.

We also hold frequent additional meetings for 1:1 help and special interest groups. See the Courses page.
